The lower block girdle is engineered to increase structural rigidity across the main web area while providing a controlled 3/8‑inch pan drop to reduce windage and improve oil control at high RPM.
Each unit is CNC‑machined from 7075‑T6 billet aluminum, selected for its exceptional tensile strength and fatigue resistance. This manufacturing approach ensures tight dimensional accuracy and repeatability; no waterjet processes are used, eliminating taper and edge‑quality variability.
Installation requires our dedicated lower block stud kit to maintain proper clamping load and alignment. The girdle-to-block interface is sealed around the perimeter using Loctite 572, preserving block integrity while retaining a standard oil‑pan gasket for serviceability. An oil‑pickup spacer is included to maintain correct pickup height relative to the lowered pan.
